Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
Grab your current read
Open to a random page
Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Here is mine:-
"Marcus folded up beside him and watched, vividly remembering another war-spear whose collar had been the blue grey feathers of a heron. Esca stood leaning one shoulder against the rowan wood doorpost, watching also."

This is a book I have had since I was a teenager. I suddenly got the urge to read it again and I am enjoying it even more 30+ years later.

I have not heard of this book, so I will look it up. I like the descriptive teaser. If you have a moment, my TT: http://www.rundpinne.com/2010/04/teaser-tuesdays-get-lucky.html
ReplyDeleteI had to read it twice. Very vivid imagery.

.... great teaser couple of sentences for The Eagle of the Nint (a film of it is coming later this year) .... for more about Rosemary Sutcliff (gentle nudge, it is spelt without an E) you and perhaps some readers might find www.rosemarysutcliff.wordpress.com interesting?
